What to Expect from Your First Online Tarot Reading

If you have never had a tarot reading before, it is completely normal to feel a mix of curiosity and uncertainty. You might be wondering what actually happens during a session, whether you need to prepare anything, or whether tarot is even right for you. This post is here to answer those questions honestly and help you feel confident before you book.

It Starts with Your Question

Every reading begins with you. Before your session, take a little time to think about what is on your mind. You do not need to arrive with a perfectly worded question, but having a general sense of what you want clarity on helps shape the reading. It might be a situation you are navigating, a decision you are weighing, or simply a desire to understand where you are right now. All of that is valid.

What Happens During the Session

Once we connect online, I will take a moment to understand what you are bringing to the reading before I begin laying out the cards. I work with tarot alongside the Vera Sibilla oracle, using spreads that are chosen specifically for your question or situation. As the cards are revealed I will walk you through what each one means in context, not just in isolation. A reading is a conversation, not a performance. You are welcome to ask questions, share what resonates, and redirect if something feels off track.

What Tarot Is and What It Is Not

Tarot is a tool for reflection and guidance. It can offer perspective on a situation, highlight patterns you may not have noticed, and help you think through your options with more clarity. It is not a prediction machine and it does not tell you what to do. The decisions are always yours. I approach every session with honesty and care, which means I will share what the cards reflect even when it is nuanced or complex, always with your growth and wellbeing in mind.

After Your Reading

Many people find it helpful to take notes during or after a session. Insights from a reading can continue to unfold over the days that follow, so writing down what stood out can be valuable. If something from your reading brings up further questions, you are always welcome to reach out.

Ready to Book?

If you are curious about what a reading might offer you, I would love to work with you. Sessions are available online in English and Spanish. You can explore booking options on the services page or reach out directly with any questions.
